Mahalia is the UK next biggest global superstar the 21-year-old Leicester born and raised singer Mahalia (born Royal Infirmary) when asked how she'd describe herself. "I can write a love song or a ballad, or when I read something and it angers me, I know how to tackle the situation. Mahalia has released a couple of EPs and an album, Love and Compromise. She acted in the famous UK film "Brotherhood" showing her talent as an amazing actor and worked on several mixtapes released in the past few years, one of which, 2016's Diary of Me:,was named a best R&B album by UK superstar Stormzy a fantastic accolade which made sure she kept on pushing. For the past three years, Mahalia Burkmar has been labeled as one of the most promising faces on a new sound in R&B in the UK. a title that the singer shares with other established stars like Jorja Smith, Mabel McVey, and JONES, all women who happen to be young and light-skinned.

Now, after two years under the record label of Asylum Records and having signed for the label, Mahalia is ready to take up the mantle with her debut full-length album. You'll find her soul singing voices that Whitney Houston —and then, with her beautiful, smoky tone, and slow vibes, smooth R&B serenades. "All females have our hard days, and we have our soft days," Mahalia says. "in this generation I believe there's a lot of music that doesn't make us feel as beautiful and give a fair repretensation of women in general. I write and sing for the ladies so we have some music to relate to." And that, according to Mahalia, can include everything from heartache such as songs she released in 2019 " I wish I missed my EX" to politics to "the raw emotions that women have to fight with on a daily basis," she says."Right now, black female artists are the most interesting people to think about.
